Clazziquai Project, the trio made up of DJ Clazzi, Horan and Alex has been made a name famous as their various hits-“Come To Me”, “Lover Boy”, “Feel This Night” after debut in 2004. Since DJ Clazzi has become popular electronic musician in Korea and abroad by collaborate with M-flo, Fantastic Plastic Machine, DAISHI DANCE, Mondo Grosso, Free Tempo and Cloud. He is working to expand his area in musical works, such as album produce and remix.
Clazzi‘s first solo album [INFANT] since his debut as Clazziquai Project, is such a gem of his works musical through collaboration with various artists. Based on Clazzi’s own delicate electronic sound, which harmonize with splendid artists who featured on: Yi Sung Yol, Seulong from 2AM, Koxx, Kota and Jubee from SunnyHill, Christina and so on.
Especially this album is worth noticing about entirely different way to making Clazzi’s own sound. He made up old-fashioned sound with analog instruments instead of latest digital sound, trying to express his characteristic emotion by using drum machine and sampler. Consequently these musical efforts made up addictive sound that could be played even at dance club.
This album is indeed the masterpiece of Clazzi, after taking a 4 years break, there is a suggestion of serious consideration and musical experiment. INFANT is clear evidence that Clazzi still has the magic touch, crafting together an energetic, flowing collection of house-pop that distinctly holds true to his personal tastes, occasionally dipping deeper into straight dance music and flipping back into straight pop music.
